Apparently, back in 2012, a whole town in Turkmenistan was awarded “with a brand new Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV after an above-average grain harvest” by their dictator.

It was said that it would be used for “work” purposes, but I question whether or not that was truly the case. And either way, I am curious on the whereabouts of the car now... if they even still own it.

Also of note: this is a country where black cars are banned. Because reasons.

I feel like there are much better ways to reward a poor village for their hard work. Like a surplus of food, or maybe some new cloths. Heck even medical supplies. Or even 70 motorcycles lol. A 70,000 dollar SUV, which probably cost another 10,000 to import seems a bit odd.

It reminds me of Archer, when that dictator bought 1 million of Charlene’s country music albums to give to people who don’t have record players.
